Career quest: Job fair at UIU

United International University Career Counseling Centre (UIU CCC) along with Jobsbd  and UIU HR Forum organised a job fair titled 'Career Quest 2016'. The event was held from 27th March 2016 to 28th of March 2016 at UIU premises. The grand event brought together employers, experienced professionals and entry level talented individuals under one roof. The main focus was to bring together different organisations from various sectors including financial, banking, telecom, ICT, NGO, RMG and industrial organisations under one roof with highly competitive and professional job seekers.
Employers predict that finding work or changing career should be easier this year than last year as the economy is picking up, and  job opportunities are arising, according to organisations taking part in the job fair.
The annual recruitment extravaganza at campus premises attracted thousands of visitors, and more than two dozen business and private sector organisations managed to offer information and advice on vacancies and apprenticeships.
Mr. Mosharrof Hossain, President of Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM), K M Hasan Ripon, CEO, Jobsbd.com, Mr. Manjurul Haque Director of UIU Career Counseling Centre (CCC) Khan and Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, the vice-chancellor of UIU were present in the inaugural ceremony of the event.
The two day-long grand events were divided into two parts-- walk-in interviews and panel discussions.
All the organisations took interviews of the candidates and many students attended the panel discussions for their better future career.
The panel discussions were moderated and conducted by heads of HR from renowned organisations.
An interesting robotic session was taken on ‘Embedded System’ and the speaker was ICT consultant Mr. Zubayer Al Billal Khan.
