Carjackers kill auto-rickshaw driver

An auto-rickshaw driver was killed by suspected carjackers (hijackers) in Chittagong on Tuesday. The dead is Mohiuddin, 28, son of Zakir Hossain of Abdullahpur village of Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong district. Locals said a gang of suspected carjackers, equipped with firearms and sharp weapons, swooped on Mohiuddin in Fatehnagar area in Raojan upazila and stabbed him indiscriminately. Locals spotted him lying in a pool of blood at about 12.30am and informed police. Mohiuddin died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) hours after he had been rushed there by police with multiple stab injuries inflicted by the criminals. Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Raojan Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
