Carrying cycles on trains

Domestic tourism has increased significantly in the last decade. The cycling revolution that is going on in the country has boosted domestic tourism, especially among the younger generation. Some of the young tourists these days use cycles as their mode of transport to travel to new places for sight-seeing, while some other go the new locations using train or bus or personal transport and then cycle around there for sight-seeing. Cyclists who only plan to sight-see in new places by cycling but plan to travel to those places using public transport such as bus or train have to either carry their cycle with them on the bus or train or have to courier their cycle to new locations. In this regard they regularly face hassles, especially when carrying their cycle on the train because there does not seem to be any clear.
Many countries around the world have promoted cycling tourism by providing cycle racks inside or outside the train compartment to encourage tourists to travel with cycles. It helps to promote tourism on one hand, and on the other, to promote the sustainable transports - train and cycle. To encourage and promote tourism, cycling and train, the railway authorities should make a policy that will make it easier and hassle-free and also encourage cyclists to carry their cycles on the train. Most importantly, it should ensure that cyclists are not harassed for carrying cycles on the train.
