Case being investigated with highest importance: IGP

RAJSHAHI, Nov 22 (BSS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmud Khandaker has categorically said the murder case of Prof AKM Shafiul Islam of Rajshahi University (RU) is being investigated with highest importance.
"I held a meeting with the local police officials last night and got information of remarkable success that has already been achieved in the investigation.
We are very much hopeful over attaining more other success as early as possible," he further said while talking to the awaiting journalists in a passing out parade ceremony today.
The passing out of the 34th outside cadet sub-inspectors- 2013 batch was held at Parade ground of Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) in Sarda in Rajshahi.
IGP Hassan Mahmud Khandaker attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
