Case filed against CEC for hurting Muslims' sentiments

A case was filed against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims through a statement. The plaintiff alleged that according to a news item published in the Dainik Amar Desh on April 16 the CEC said, "If the Allah himself comes down, He won't be able to stop the Bhola by-election". — UNB
