Case filed for plotting to kill Joy

Police lodged a case against vice-president of BNP's cultural wing JASAS Mohammad Ullah Mamun on charges of plotting to assassinate the Prime Minister's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy after abduction, reports BSS.
Detective Branch (DB) of police inspector Fazlur Rahman filed the case under section 102(B) of the Penal Code with Paltan thana on Monday night.
In the case statement, the complainant alleged that Mamun in connivance with some top leaders of BNP-led 20-party alliance at home and abroad made a plot to kill Joy after abduction, Sub Inspector (SI) Masud Munshi of Paltan thana told the news agency on Tuesday.
Names of other accused have not been mentioned in the case, he said.
A US court, however, convicted Mamun's son Rizvi Ahmed Ceaser for three and a half years on March 4 in connection with a case for bribing an FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) special agent to collect information on Joy.
The US Connecticut-resident Mamun is vice-president of BNP's cultural wing Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) and a former vice-president of the party's US chapter.
