Case filed over Habiganj housewife killing

Slain Habiganj housewife Refa Begum's family on Saturday afternoon filed a case with Nabiganj Police Station accusing her husband Raihan Chowdhury for the grisly murder. Police have already arrested Raihan over the killing. Nabiganj police OC Liakat Hossain said after primary questioning, Raiham said he had strangulated his wife late Friday night and then doused the body with kerosene before setting it on fire. The police officer said Raihan was detained for allegedly burning Refa Begum’s body after murdering her at his village home over family feud, according to a news agency.
