Case filed over killing of four AL men in Badda

A police case has been filed over the killing of four leaders and activists of Awami League, Chhatra League and Jubo Leagye in Dhaka city last week. Father of Mahbubur Rahman Gama, one of the four deceased, filed the case with Badda Police Station on Saturday night. Gama, 40, was the Swechchhasebak League’s Dhaka City (North) unit assistant literary affairs secretary. Assailants opened fire on five ruling party leaders and activists near Adarshanagar Water Pump in Badda on Thursday night. Shamsu Molla, 53, joint secretary of Ward-6 unit of Dhaka City unit of Awami League, and an employee of a private hospital, Firoz Ahmed Manik, 45, died that night. Gama died following day. Juba League leader Abdus Salam, injured in the attack, also died ina hospital. is undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital. Gama’s father Motiur Rahman accused 12 unidentified men in the case, according to a news agency.
