RANGPUR, Feb 10 : Crisis of cash money is seriously hampering Boro paddy cultivation in the district this year as the farmers incurred huge losses in the last Aman season, sources said.
According to local farmers and agriculturists, production cost has significantly increased this year following hike in prices of agri-inputs like seeds, pesticides, fertilisers, diesel, etc.
It was feared that the paddy growers were to spend about Tk 5,500 more than that the amount they had spent in cultivating Boro paddy on an acre of land last year.
