Cashless E-mutation draws huge response
Tk 7.7m deposited in first 39 hours of its introduction by land ministry

Cashless e-mutation of the land ministry has drawn good attention from recipients of the digital payment services.
A total of Tk 7.7 million was deposited to the government's exchequer in the first 39 hours of the introduction of the services by the ministry on Sunday.
Recipients of land related services collected more than 6,200 automated QR code-enabled Duplicate Carbon Receipt (DCR) till 3pm on the day, says a statement.
It said, of the total collected amount Tk 6. 9 million was collected from approval of mutation case or application while Tk 0.8 million from new application. The service recipients paid the money through mobile wallet or internet banking.
The introcduction of cashless e-mutation will ensure quick, smooth, hassle-free and safe payment through the digital platform.
Apart from saving valuable time of the recepients, the service will also save a considerable amount of money as they no longer need to travel to the land office physically and get the job done.
The statement said the recipients can also get their job done through the digital platform any day and any time, even on government holidays as the service will remain operational before and after office hours.
"Scope for corruption has decreased (following introduction of the system) as human-to-human contact has been lowered," the statement said.
Using e-mutation tab from the website www.land.gov.bd, a citizen can avail the services and know about it. Besides, one can contact 16122 and (+880 96123 16122 for users from abroad) to know about the services and file complaint, if any, regarding this.
