Casual workers of state-run jute mills to go for indefinite work stoppage from today

KHULNA, Dec 31 (UNB): Casual workers of six state-run jute mills of Khulna industrial zone will go for an indefinite work stoppage from today (Tuesday) to press home their five-point demand.
Convenor of the Casual Workers' Action Coordination Committee Mohammad Shahidul Islam Gias announced this at a press conference at the local press club Saturday.
The demands include full payment of dues, weekly wages, overtime allowances and reinstatement of the sacked casual workers.
