NATORE, Mar 17: The butchers of Natore Sadar, Bagatipara, Lalpur, Baraigram, Gurudashpur and Singa Upazilas in Natore district slaughter cattle here and there despite presence of a slaughter house , posing a serious threat to the environment. It is learned that the butchers are selling meat of the old mitch cows, pregnant cattles, sick, old and under-age goats and sheeps in different haats and bazars of the district in violation of government rules . According to the government rules, all butchers are bound to slaughter animals only at the authorised places and sell the meat in the markets after obtaining quality certified seal from the concerned authority.
