Cattle trader shot dead by BSF in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, June 9 (UNB): A cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Hatkhola border in Panchbibi Upazila Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Hossain (30), son of late Neel Mia of Hatkhola village.
BDR and local sources said BSF troops shot him dead near border pillar no. 280/4 while he was returning from India after buying cattle at about 11:30pm. Later, the body was handed over to his relatives.
BDR in a protest letter to their Indian counterparts strongly protested against the incident.
