Caustic soda falls on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Nov 23 (PTI): Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today on stockists selling, coupled with reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on prices. Caustic soda flake fell by Rs 50 to Rs 950-1,000 per 50 kg.
Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries, as against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down caustic soda prices.
Following are today's quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg), Rs 1,000-2,200, acetic acid (1 kg) Rs 33-35, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 450-480, boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 3,500-3,900, borex granular (50 kg) Rs 2,000-2,300.
