CBC sponsors nat'l debate festival

Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) sponsored the Fourth National Debate Festival Bangladesh'08 held at the National Museum in the city recently, says a press release.
On the ceremonial opening of the event, Primary and Mass Education, Cultural Affairs, Women and Children Affairs Adviser Rasheda K Choudhury, CBC Country Manager S Renganathan, Editor of the Daily Star Mahfuz Anam, Dhaka University Pro Vice-chancellor AFM Yusuf Haider, Save the Children Senior Director (Education) Pablo Standbary, Tex-Ebo International Pvt Limited Country Director Abdullah Hil Rakib and Managing Director of Radio Amar Zulfikar Ahmed.
Debaters from more than 300 schools, colleges, public and private universities took part in the festival.
