CBC's annual report best in South Asia

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC) was awarded the Platinum Award as the joint overall winner at the prestigious Best Presented Accounts Awards of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).
The bank was also confirmed its leadership in financial reporting in the South Asia by winning the Gold award in the 'Banking' category at this award distribution ceremony, says a press release.
The annual report of the CBC has been adjudged the best among financial sector companies in the SAARC region every year since 2001, while its 2004 annual report was selected as the best across all categories in the region, making the bank the most consistent winner of the awards in South Asia.
CBC Bangladesh has also been awarded with an enhanced rating of AA+ (Double A plus) from AA (Double A) for long term and ST-1 for short term, based on its 2007 balance sheet by Credit Rating Information and Services Ltd (CRISIL).
In Bangladesh, CBC has completed its 5 years of operation and stepped into the 6th year with more promising services and many more new products to offer to the corporate and personal banking customers.
