CCC decides to procure 100 vans to remove dirt, garbage

CHITTAGONG, July 17: Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has decided to procure 100 covered vans to remove dirt and garbage accumulated in different wards under CCC .
The 24th general meeting of the Audit and Accounts Standing Committee of CCC Tuesday with Acting Mayor M Manjur Alam in the chair took the decision.
Acting Mayor said, on procuring the covered vans, CCC would be able to remove the garbage properly and quickly ensuring a pollution free atmosphere in the city.
The meeting also discussed formulation of guideline on the use of vehicles by the officials, the report of income and expenditure in 2006-2007 fiscal, audit objection, adjustment of advance etc.
CCC Committee Chairman and Ward Commissioner Arzu Shahabuddin, Member Secretary and Chief Accounts Officer Narayan Chandra Paul and Executive Engineer Abdul Malek attended the meeting.
