CCC evicts 100 unauthorised shops in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 01 (BSS): Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) in a drive evicted over 100 unauthorised shops built on both the sides of the city's Nasirabad industrial area on Monday.
Marufa Begum Neli, executive magistrate of CCC, conducted a three hour-long drive from 10:00 am in cooperation with police and senior officials of conservancy unit of CCC.
"We have evicted over 100 makeshift unauthorised establishments built on both the side of city's Nasirabad industrial area, occupying footpath", said magistrate Neli.
The mobile court also realised Tk 37,000 as fine from them.
In a separate drive, CCC special magistrate Monisha Mohazon realised Tk 12,0000 as fine from four building owners for keeping materials occupying footpath in the city's Love lane area.
