CCCI, BSTI jointly arrange awareness training workshop

CHITTAGONG, Sept 23: With a view to ensuring social accountability at different industrial organisations, a 2-day awareness training workshop on social compliance' began at Chittagong Chamber auditorium today. Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI) have jointly arranged the workshop.
The training workshop has been undertaken by the UNIDO and the EU's Quality Assistance Programme under Bangladesh Quality Support Programme.
UNIDO's international expert Doglas D Rousseau is imparting training in the workshop. CCCI President Saifuzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop while Chamber Director Mahfuzul Hoque Shah, BSTI Director Shafique Rahman and National Coordinator KM Mostafa Anwar spoke on the occasion.
The speakers in the workshop stressed the need for utilising the gathered knowledge in the respective industrial organisations of the trainees. As many as 35 senior officials of different organisations took part in the workshop.
