CCCI-run consumer goods monitoring cell drive ends

CHITTAGONG Dec 17: Market-wise consumer goods monitoring cell programme arranged under the auspices of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) concluded in the city's Reazuddin Bazar area today (Monday).
CCCI President Saifuzza-man Chowdhury conducted the drive.
Speaking on the occasion, the CCCI president asked the business community to sell the consumer goods at affordable rates and prices for lessening the sufferings of common people.
He also advised the traders to refrain from charging excess and unjustified prices and to sell the food items with an aim of earning less profit.
The CCCI chief, along with other members, visited the local kitchen markets to know the rates of essential commodities like fish, meat, vegetables, pulse and rice.
The CCCI president also talked to the buyers and gave them the assurance that CCCI-conducted monitoring cell programme would help the buyers to procure their desired food items within their buying capacity.
