CCCI team off to Taiwan, Japan

CHITTAGONG, May 9: A 19-member business delegation headed by CCCI president MA Latif left Saturday night for Taiwan and Japan on 11-day tour for bilateral discussions and exchange views on trade and investment issues.
The team members will meet with the Taipei external trade development council, Department of East Asia and Pacific Welfare, bureau of foreign trade in Taiwan, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Textile importers association, Japan external trade organisation, Japan-Bangladesh committee for commercial and economic cooperation.
Other members of the team included vice president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, honourary consul of Japan Md Nurul Islam, director of Taiwan Trade Centre Woody Wang, CCCI director Wasiur Rahman Chowdhury, director Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury and editors of local daily Azadi and Purbokone. The team is expected to come back on May 19.
