FE Report
Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) urged Tuesday the National Board of Revenue (NBR) to realise duties on the basis of present international market prices.
The chamber body has claimed that as a result of valuation under old prices of commodities the importers are incurring huge financial losses and subsequently there is no impact of the global price fall on the local market.
The CCCI in a facsimile addressed to the NBR chairman called for taking immediate steps on the issue. CCCI President Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed signed the fax message.
