CDA prepares second list of unapproved establishments

CHITTAGONG, July 10: Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has prepared the Second Phase list of the unapproved establishments and also those which had been constructed in violation of the approved design in different parts of the city. In this connection, as many as 384 establishments on both sides of 7 roads in the city, have been earmarked, CDA sources said.
The roads included into the 2nd phase list are Jubilee Road, Hossain Shahid Suhrawardi Road, Enayet Bazar Road, Mehidibag Road, MM Ali Road, SM Khaled Road and Love Lane, etc.
On the other hand, out of the earmarked establishments Karnaphuli CNG Station, Karnaphuli Tower, Hotel Miskah, Asian S.R.Hotel, Dream International, Hotel Comfort, Hotel Martin Tower, Hotel Golden Inn, Hotel Silver Inn, BRTC market, Equity Umbrella, Embassy Building, National Hospital, Comfort Real Estate, Ideal Home, Appollo Shopping Complex, Metro-politan Commerce College, Salima Siraj Madrasah are the noted ones.
CDA sources said, on completion of work of the first phase, the Second phase would begin and owners of the establishments enlisted under second phase have already been served with notices. CDA would continue the work of enlisting the unapproved establishments under 3rd, 4th and 5th phase gradually.
