CDMP gives radio sets for cyclone preparedness

Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP), under the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management, donated 500 radio sets and 500 torch-lights for the cyclone preparedness programme (CPP) being executed by Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.

CDMP extended the logistic support as a part of strengthening disaster preparedness and emergency response in the disaster prone areas of the country.

Director General of Disaster Management Bureau K H Masud Siddiqui handed over the equipment to CPP Director Fazlul Wahab at a ceremony held at Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium in the city Tuesday.

Chief Technical Advisor of CDMP Ian Rector, Operation Manager Asela Vinthanage and Senior Project Expert SM Morshed were present at the programme.
