CEC visits Khulna, Jessore, Faridpur today, tomorrow

KHULNA, Aug 21 (UNB): Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda will attend a meeting here tomorrow (Wednesday) with officials concerned to discuss issues relating to voter registration, beginning here Thursday.
The Khulna City Corporation (KCC) mayor and officials of the local administration and departments concerned will be present in the meeting to be held at the city's Zia Hall at 10am.
Later, the CEC will visit a number of voter registration centres here as voter registration work begins in the district Thursday formally.
On Thursday morning, the CEC will sit in another meeting with the officials involved in voter registration work in Jessore.
Later in the day, he will hold discussions with officials of Faridpur. The CEC is expected to return to Dhaka Friday.
