CEMS to hold 2 exhibitions to showcase products of seven countries

Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CEMS)- USA in association with CEMS-Bangladesh will organise two exhibitions simultaneously at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city from August 2 to August 8.
The exhibitions are "3rd Asian International Trade Expo 2010", a seven-day international exhibition on trade and consumer and "13th ConExpo 2010", an international exhibition on real estate, construction materials, method and equipment.
Shahid S Sarwar, group director-global operation of CEMS Global group, said: "At least seven countries will take part in these two exhibitions. The countries are Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iran, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka."
"Over 100 exhibitors from seven countries will exhibit profile like consumer electronics, food and beverage, healthcare products, personal care and beauty products, household products, real estate companies, construction materials, fashion and accessories, arts and crafts."
"Asia is considered to be the fastest-growing region in the world with GDP growth in Asia-Pacific region surging at an average annual rate of 6.3 per cent and South Asia with 6.4 per cent compared with growth of 3.1 per cent in the rest of the world," he said at a press conference at the National Press Club in the city Sunday.
"The real driver of the world economy has been Asia, which has accounted for over half of the world's growth since 2001. Asia has 21 per cent contribution to the increase in world GDP."
The exhibition will remain open for exhibitors everyday from 11:00 am to 9.00 pm. The entry fee has been fixed at Tk 20 for each person, the organisers said.
