Census of salt producers going on in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Mar 31: A month-long census of the salt farmers and salt producers is going on full swing in Cox's Bazar coast. The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) is conducting the census.
BSCIC Chairman Mustaq Hasan Mohammed Iftikhar has visited census activities in different salt fields of Cox's Bazar Sadar on Saturday morning.
During visit he talked to salt farmers and salt field owners at Chowfaldandi, Islampur, Jamghona, Natun Ghona and Moiggar Ghona.
Director of BSCIC (Development and Extension) Jibon Kumar Chowdhury, General Manager Shafiqul Alam, Chittagong Regional Director Mohammad Saiful Islam and Deputy General Manager Dildar Ahmed Chowdhury accompanied with BSCIC chairman.
BSCIC chairman said that month-long salt farmers census started on March 18 in Cox's Bazar coastal areas. 62 census assistants and supervisors appointed to conduct this programme.
