Centenarian woman burnt to death in Ctg

An old woman was burnt to death in a fire that erupted in Sandwip Upazila in Chittagong district on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Chhaya Rani Shil, a resident of Khantarhat area of the Upazila. Locals said the fire originated at a house in Khantarhat in the morning and it soon engulfed the entire house and an adjoining dwelling house where Chhaya Rani was staying. Local people rushed to the spot and doused the flame. They also recovered the charred body of the centenarian woman from the house, according to a news agency.
