A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted bail to Central Hospital's physician Maksuda Farida Akhter Mili in a case filed on charge of neglect of duty that led to the deaths of a newborn and its mother.

The newborn of Mahbuba Rahman Akhi (25) died while she was undergoing C-section in the hospital on June 10. Akhi who was later taken to LabAid Hospital and had been on life support there, died on June 18.
