Central Insurance holds branch managers' confce

Central Insurance Company (CIC) Ltd held its Branch Managers' Conference-2008 in the city recently.
The Conference dwelt on the activities of the company during the last year with a focus on the future business policies and growth.
CIC Managing Director (current charge) Md Zahid Anwar Khan presided over the conference.
Chairman of the company Md Nurun Newaz inaugurated the conference as the chief guest and Adviser Azizul Haque Chowdhury was present as the special guest.
The chairman, in his inaugural speech, admired the efforts of the branch managers as well as the development personnel in procuring business for the company despite unfavourable market situation.
He further reminded them of their onerous duties to utilise and explore resources prudently and judiciously for the benefit of the company and the economy of the country as a whole. Emphasis was given on settlement of the claim of the clients on priority basis.
Immediate past chairman Md Nurul Islam, former chairmen Md Abu Taher Chowdhury and Mir Rahmat Ali, directors Sufia Kabir, Hosne Ara Begum, Abu Mohammad, Mohammad Masud Hossain and Tulu Kalimullah, Consultant Tasiruddin Ahmed and Company Secretary Mirza Md Alauddin were also present at the conference.
Welcoming the participants, Zahid Anwar gave a vivid account of the performance of the company in different areas, namely, collection of premium, business development, introduction of new insurance products and investment policy of the company etc.
The participants freely exchanged their views, ideas and experience among themselves in a cordial atmosphere.
Managers of all branches and executives of the head office of the company attended the conference.
Branch In-charges, executives, other development and desk personnel were given cash reward for their excellent business performance for the year 2007.
