The half yearly branch managers' conference-2009 of the Central Insurance Company Limited (CICL) was held at the Novo Convention Centre in the city recently.
The conference discussed the activities of the company in the last year with a focus on future business policies and growth.
Chaired by CICL Managing Director (CC) Md Zahid Anwar Khan, the conference was attended, among others, by its Chairman Md Nurun Newaz as the chief guest, Adviser Azizul Haque Chowdhury as the special guest, directors Hosne Ara Begum, Zoynal Abedin Chowdhury, Sufia Kabir and MR Ali, Consultant Tasir Uddin Ahmed and Company Secretary Mirza Md Alauddin.
The CICL chairman inaugurated the branch managers' conference.
The chairman admired the efforts of the branch managers as well as the development personnel in procuring business for the company despite unfavourable market situation.
He reminded them of their onerous duties in utilising and exploring resources prudently and judiciously for the benefit of the company and the economy of the country as a whole.
He urged the managers and executives of the company to put in their best efforts to counter the daunting challenges lying ahead and stay competitive in the market.
The CICL adviser spoke in the conference.
He advised the managers to collect more business for the company.
