Central Zone take narrow 23-run lead

A five-wicket haul by Shuvagata Hom and well -supported by Shahidul Islam saw Central Zone took a narrow 23-run overall lead over BCB North Zone after the second day's play of final round four-day 3rd Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur, reports BSS.
BCB North Zone stared their first innings and faced batting debacle as they were dismissed at 287 in 71.5 overs, in reply to a Central Zone's first innings total of 289.
Back with a narrow 12-run first innings lead, Central Zone started their second innings in the afternoon and scored 21 for 2 in 12 overs at stumps.
Earlier, resuming the second day (Monday), Central Zone finished their first innings at 289 adding 11 more runs with their overnight total of 278, losing the remaining two wickets.
