Centre Exams at class eight from this year

The government has taken a decision in principle to hold Centre Examinations at class eight from this year, reports BSS.
Unifying the annual examinations and the scholarship examinations, the centre exams will be held across the country through a uniform question, an Education Ministry release said Wednesday.
A committee has been formed to conduct the exams with the Director General (DG) of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education as its convenor.
Committee members are chairmen education boards, DG of the Department of Technical Education, DG of the Department of Primary Education, project director of SESDP, representatives from the Ministries of Education Primary and Mass Education.
