Ceremonial draw of SAFF Women’s Championships

The ceremonial draw of the South Asian Federation Football (SAFF) U-18 and U-15 Women's Championships 2018 was held on Saturday at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in the city, reports UNB.
SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Haque Helal and BFF General Secretary M Abu Nayem Shohag conducted the draw at a simple ceremony.
Bangladesh was placed in Group B of the seven-nation SAFF U-18 Championship along with Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan while Group A team comprises India, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
In the six-nation SAFF U-15 Women's Championship, Bangladesh were put in Group B with Nepal and Pakistan while Group A teams consist of India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
The SAFF U-18 Championship scheduled for September 28 to October 7 either in India or Bhutan while SAFF U-15 Championship billed for Bhutan August 9-18 this year.
Bangladesh will play Pakistan in their first match in the SAFF U-18 Women's Championship on August 9 at the Chalimithang Stadium in Thimpu while Bangladesh U-15 Women's will face Bhutan on September 29, venue of which yet to be finalised.
Bangladesh team clinched their first-ever SAFF U-15 Women's Championship title with all-win record beating giant India by 1-0 goal in the final in Dhaka last December.
