Forex reserves rise, but may fall again
Foreign exchange reserves of the country rose to $10.34 billion at the end of October from a two-year low of $9.88 billion in September, but were down from $11.16 billion a year earlier, the central bank said Tuesday. However, the reserves are likely to fall again this month because of scheduled bi-monthly import payments to the Asian Clearing Union. The foreign exchange reserves came under pressure from soaring import costs. - Reuters
