Channel i has won the prestigious "International Children's Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) Regional Award for Asia Pacific Region" for a programme produced on children and autism, reports UNB.
UNICEF and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences have jointly announced the winner recently.
The 13-minute programme sends a powerful message on the importance of nurturing disabled children to help them enjoy a full and decent life and giving them the special care they need.
The film also advocates for their inclusion in communities and society at large. This is the second time Bangladesh has won the Award, the first time was in 2004 and won by ATN Bangla.
The International Children's Day of Broadcasting Awards Ceremony will take place in mid-November in New York.
