Charge sheet submitted against Abbas, 36 others

Police have submitted a charge sheet to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court accusing 37 people, including BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, in the vandalism and killing case.
Md Mamunur Rashid, sub-inspector (SI) of Rampura thana, submitted the charge sheet to the court on Thursday evening.
BNP standing committee members Gayeswar Chandra Roy and Sadek Hossain Khoka, joint secretaries general Amanullah Aman and Salahuddin Ahmed, among others, were named in the charge sheet.
On December 29 in 2013, during 'March for Democracy' programme organised by BNP-led 20-party alliance, bomb explosion, vandalism and arson attack took place.
SI Al Mamun filed the case against them with Rampura thana, a day after the incident.
