Charges framed against five including Mridha of BR

A Chittagong court has framed charges against five people including Bangladesh Railway’s former east zone General Manager Yusuf Ali Mridha over corruption in recruitment. Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge and Special Tribunal-1 Judge SM Mojibur Rahman on Wednesday also fixed Feb 24 to begin the trial. Witnesses will start to depose from that date. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had lodged the case at Kotwali Police Station on Sept 10, 2012, over alleged irregularities in the ‘Fuel Checker’ recruitment tests in railway’s east zone.
