Chargesheet submitted against Shahjahan Chy

Police submitted chargesheet to the court against Shahajahan Chowdhury, former Jamaat MP, in a corruption case filed by ACC. Now fugitive Shahjahan was accused of concealing information about a Pajero jeep in his wealth statement submitted to ACC. Faisal Morshed Khan, son of former minister Morshed Khan, was also chargesheeted in the case for conniving with Shahjahan in making a forged document of the jeep. Shajahan imported the duty-free Pajero jeep from England on MP quota. But it was not shown in his wealth statement. The jeep was later seized from a business establishment of Faisal Morshed Khan. —UNB
