Chemists can play a role to stop food adulteration: Speakers

Speakers at a seminar in the capital Saturday said chemists can play a vital role to stop adulteration in food and also in other commodities by properly discharging their responsibilities.
Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS) Saturday organised the seminar titled 'Consumer Products and Chemistry' in the city at Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) auditorium. The seminar was organised for building mass awareness among people about unethical use of formalin.
BCIC Chairman M Munsur Ali Sikder presented the key note paper at the seminar while Secretary of Ministry of Industries Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah, BCS General Secretary Prof Dr Al-Nakib Chowdhury, BCIC Director Abul Basher Miah spoke with BCS President Professor Dr Jashim Uddin Ahmad in the chair.
