Chevron builds footbridge for Bibiyana people

Chevron Bangladesh built a 160-foot steel footbridge by its employees at Bibiyana in Sylhet recently, said a press release.
Chevron President Steve Wilson officially inaugurated the bridge for public use.
Also present in the inaugural ceremony were Bibiyana Gas Plant Superintendent Gary V Sims, local Union Council Chairman Nazmul Hussain Nazrul and Chevron's Community Relations Manager at Bibiyana Zulfikar Ahmed Chowdhury along with representatives of local community.
The Chevron president said, "This bridge not only connects the two unions, but is also a symbol of the friendship between the Bibiyana community and Chevron. I believe it has a positive impact on the development of the surrounding community".
The local community also played vital roles during the construction of the project, added the release.
