Chicago agricultural commodities mixed

Sunday, 29 September 2013

CHICAGO, Sept. 28 (Xinhua): Chicago agricultural commodities closed mixed yesterday, with corn slipping and wheat and soybean rising. The most active corn contract for December delivery dipped 2.75 cents, or 0.6 per cent, to close at 4.54 dollars per bushel. December wheat gained 4.75 cents, or 0.7 per cent, to close at 6.83 dollars per bushel. November soybeans rose 3 cents, or 0.23 per cent, to close at 13.1975 dollars per bushel. December corn dropped on a big harvest at the weekend. Better- than-expected yields reported by producers further dampened corn, and funds were major sellers. South Korea bought 55,000 tonnes of corn of optional origin.
