Child dies in Madaripur road accident

An eight-year-old boy has died after being run over by an auto-rickshaw in Sadar upazila in Madaripur on Wednesday. Madaripur Police Station OC Mofazza Hossain said the accident took place around 9am at East Housdi village while the boy was crossing the road. The dead has been identified as ‘Ibrahim’, son of Sabuj Howlader. Quoting witnesses, the police officer said a speeding auto-rickshaw ran over the boy, leaving him dead on the spot, according to bdnews24.com.
