Child dies in road mishap in Hatirjheel

A minor boy has been killed in a road accident near Nayatola at Moghbazar in Dhaka. Police said the accident had taken place in Hatirjheel area on Thursday evening. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Saqib, 9, son of late Nurul Islam, a resident of Nayatola. Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police camp Inspector Mozammel Haq, referring to Saqib’s elder brother Shakil, said ‘A private car had hit Saqib and fled the spot. Locals sent him to DMCH where the doctor pronounced him dead,’ according to a news agency.
