Child drowns in Natore pond

NATORE, Oct 14 (UNB): A four-year-old boy drowned in Chalan Beel while picking up shapla from a boat at Singra upazila in Natore district on Saturday.
According to the Inspector of Singra police station and locals, Alamin, a fisherman of Krishnanagar village in Singra upazila, along with his son Arman went to pick shapla (water lily) on a boat in Chalan Beel in the afternoon.
The child fell from the boat into the water and drowned.
Arman's body was recovered with the help of the people around him after half an hour.
