Children die in Araihazar bus crash

Two children have been killed and 35 more injured when a bus fell into a pond at Narayanganj’s Araihazar. The incident took place at Satgram Union’s Purinda at 9pm on Monday. The children who died are 6-month old ‘Nasima’ from Mithain and 2-year old ‘Shahin’ from Kishoreganj’s Ashtagram. ‘The driver of the bus headed for Bhairab lost control and the vehicle crashed into a pond,’ said Araihazar Police OC Md Alauddin quoting witnesses. Locals rushed to recover the dead bodies of the children and took the injured passengers to nearby hospitals, he said, according to bdnews24.com.
