China, Egyptto strengthen cooperation in medical field

CAIRO, June 11 (CEIS): China was taking efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Egypt in the health domain, a visiting Chinese health official said here yesterday.
During talks with Egyptian vice Health Minister Nasser Rasmi, Huang Jiefu, Vice-Minister of China's Ministry of Health, said China was willing to strengthen the cooperation in the fields of drug production and the medical research to know more about Egypt's needs, establish exchange channels and find the best Chinese partners for Egypt through his ministry's coordination.
The specific fields of the Sino-Egyptian medical cooperation involve hepatitis treatment, liver transplant, the production of interferon, bird flu vaccine and birth control devices and traditional Chinese medicines among others, Huang said.
The Chinese official noted that China and Egypt share many common grounds in medical field and China will provide Egypt with medical products in the best quality and the highest-level technology.
