China food inflation set to decline further

BEIJING, Mar 22 (Commodity Online): China food inflation is set to decline thanks to increased supplies on Spring Festival Yao Jian, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce said that prices of food grains and cooking oil will remain stable.
According to the ministry, major farm produce prices have shown a declining trend since the beginning of February. During the week ending March 20, wholesale prices of 18 vegetables in 36 major cities fell 3.4 per cent from the end of January. Retail prices of eggs went down by 3.0 per cent.
