China shares fall

Chinese shares fell in morning trade on Thursday due to losses on Wall Street and worries over the domestic economy, dealers said. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.27 per cent, or 5.62 points, to 2,061.76. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 0.35 per cent, or 3.71 points, to 1,061.22, according to AFP.
