China shares up

Tuesday, 29 April 2014

Chinese stocks were up slightly in morning trade on Tuesday on bargain hunting but fears that upcoming IPOs could cause a share glut capped gains, dealers said. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.14 per cent, or 2.81 points, to 2,006.30. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged up 0.12 per cent, or 1.25 points, to 1,008.52, according to AFP.
